Another Pro Class competitor joined the ranks today. 20yo Jordan Rushby of Beverley in the UK will be competing on his BMW S1000RR. Having already posted a best time of 1:30 at the recent Thundersports GB round at Cadwell Park, he’s definitely got some pace!

From Jordan’s team:
Jordan started riding motorbikes at the age of 4 on a Yamaha PW50. It did not take long before Jordan found himself at home on two wheels and by the end of the day he had found his true passion. Over the course of the next few years, Jordan would spend every moment he could fuelling his new passion on every empty field and motocross track his father, Nigel Rushby, could take him to.

When Jordan was 6 years old he got his first MiniMoto bike which lead to the next 3 years of Jordan perfecting his craft around local car parks and closed airfields.

Jordan’s confidence and speed grew so his family entered him into his first MiniMoto race. The location was Rowrah in Cumbria in July 2008 but disaster struck whilst swerving to avoid a crash, he fell off his bike awkwardly resulting in a broken wrist. The resulting injury meant he could not race that day, however, the injury didn’t put Jordan off racing.

Only 3 weeks later, with his broken wrist protected by a cast, he travelled to Llandow to make his debut where he managed to finish a commendable 8th position overall.

The next morning Jordan raced at Teesside and still in the zone from his good performance the day before, he managed to get himself on the podium finishing 2nd overall with a broken wrist in only his 2nd competitive race.

Jordan had found his true passion and with a natural ability to race and a strong family backing, he would go on to progress through national Motorbike racing with the sole aim to reach the very top.
